Ana Méndez Ferrell Ana was born in Mexico City in 1954. Today she and her husband Emerson Ferrell live in Jacksonville, Florida. She started her career as a portrait artist in 1976. She became one of the most prominent horse painters. She painted many of the most famous horses in those days of the horse racing world, such as: Spanish Dressage, jumping and other disciplines. She also painted portraits of many important people. Her work in these areas reached the United States, Mexico, Spain and Portugal. In 2004 her career launched worldwide with shows in more than 50 nations, and reaching nearly 300 cities having sold more than 20,000 pieces of art between originals and signed copies.
She is one of the most versatile artists with the ability to create from the most exquisite hyper-realism to the full expression of her art in the abstract.
