This painting is based on the union of Israel, “The Talit” and the Church, the “Red Mantle,” as described in Ephesians 2:16. The Two are intertwined in the “Tree of Life” where their union is sealed by the Cross of Light, which comes through the tree. The tree is seated over the River of God.
